Regional Communications Manager – Northern Europe
Reports to: Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs

Definition: Under general supervision of the Head of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, the Communications Manager is responsible for adequate and timely communication of all market related news and messages in order to build protect and enhance the reputation of the Company. The Communications Manager performs, coordinates and oversees the annual Market Communications Plan and keeps tight control of the budget. Acts as a spokesperson of the company as required, and keeps good contact with business partners and journlaists.

Geographic scope: The Communications Manager is responsible for the following countries:

Base countries: Poland, Czech Republic Destination countries: UK, Scandinavian countries, Germany, Benelux countries


* Initiate, plan and execute communications and PR activities to support commercial objectives
* Develop and deliver messages in case of operational disruptions
* Handle enquiries from journalists and act as a spokesperson as required
* Develop and maintain good working relations with the media, including local, national and international newswires, newspapers, magazines, radio and television
* Developing and maintain good working relations with the external PR support functions of airports, Tourist Boards, local authorities and other stakeholders
* Manage the media database
* Manage and oversee the work of the PR agencies and other external PR support relationships (airports, tourists boards, local authorities)
* Write and edit press releases, articles
* Deliver speeches and presentations at press conferences, radio and TV interviews on a need basis
* Organize events, such as press conferences, press tours, other PR events
* Keep the budget up to date and in line with the plan
* Other reasonable duties as required


* At least three years of experience in the field of PR preferably in Poland
* Experience building and maintaining professional networks
* Experience managing projects from conception to completion
* Experience of event management
* Ability to represent the company to a wide range of audiences
* Willingness to work outside office hours occasionally, and to travel
* Flexible and adaptable, able to work alone or as part of a team
* Experience in developing communications strategies
* Work well under pressure ensuring tasks are prioritized and goals are met


* Excellent team player skills
* Expert media relations skills
* Creative and innovative techniques for performing assignments;
* Excellent English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation (written and verbal);
* Excellent oral, written and presentational skills
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels both within the company and with external clients/stakeholders/investors;
* Strong problem solving skills, ability to remain calm in the face of difficulty

Desirable experience/skills:

* Knowledge of Polish and other CEE languages
* Experience of working with PR agencies
* Experience as a spokesperson for an organization
* Experience in planning and executing media relation campaigns
* Degree in journalism
